Development Plan Documents that we are Currently Seeking Representations on: Publication Core Strategy (Tuesday 20th April 2010 - Tuesday 8th June 2010) Publication Proposals Map (Tuesday 20th April 2010 - Tuesday 8th June 2010) *Please note that the Representation Period for the Publication Core Strategy and Publication Proposals Map has been extended from the 1st of June to 8th June 2010 Previous Stages: See what people said at earlier stages in the production of the Core Strategy Local Development Framework The Local Development Framework, which comprises a folder of planning policy documents, is required by recent government legislation that has comprehensively changed the planning system. Should you wish to register as a Local Development Framework consultee this can be done through the Council's Limehouse consultation tool. Once registered consultees can make comments or representations against Development Plan Documents and Supplementary Planning Documents as part of their preperation. Core Strategy Development Plan Document Information regarding the evidence underpinning the work on the Core Strategy can be found on the Local Development Framework Evidence Base Webpage. Local Development Scheme The Local Development Scheme (LDS), having been submitted to the Secretary of State, was approved by the Government Office for the East Midlands on the 23rd December 2009, and formally came into effect following the Cabinet meeting of the 14th January 2010. The purpose of the document is to set out what documents will make up the District Council's new planning policy framework (the Local Development Framework) and the timetable for their preparation and review. Statement of Community Involvement Our Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by the Council on the 9th March 2006, following the publication of an Inspector's Report on the 1st March 2006. The Statement sets out our methods for consulting the public on the Local Development Framework and Planning Applications. The most recent appraisal undertaken and consulted upon was the Sustainability Appraisal of the Core Strategy:Options Report. Issues Report Supplementary Planning Documents The Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document was adopted on 23rd October 2008 and forms part of the Newark and Sherwood Local Development Framework.
